I hate to do this, but....

I have noticed lately, that there have been a lot of unsavory additions to the screenshots library. I emailed Jafo about this and he deleted a number of them, but of course, they still keep comin' in. B1uesummers in particular with some others coming SS Goku etc. I am wondering if maybe screenshots arent obliged to go through moderation...That could be a prob.

To see what im talkin about go to... https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=13&SkinID=1973 Ok fine, thats just one, but ive been watchin the screenshots for a while and I dont like what I see...One IS worth removing so that we dont have little kids paying visits to the screenshots and saying, "Mommy, mommy, look at that!..."

Now some of you may not agree with me...(People's moral standards being different and all)...but I dont think its right for a "family site" to be displaying this kind of crap. Basically what Im asking is, could someone please remove the ones you see fit and to make sure these people dont do it again.

If this is the worst thing we have to worry about on this sight, I think we have very little to worry about....

And, Koasati, I refuse to put my fonts away!

The point is that it isn't appropriate for children, as seen by the R rating.

then do not take them to see it and watch what your children are watching.

this thread has been slightly more fun than it promised to be.

Karma Girl - i actually line up pretty well with everything you've said, and i wasn't seriously trying to pick an argument. the only time i get really irate is when someone in a public place that i have to go to forces me to look at something i don't want to look at just so i can conclude my business. that's a different question completely.

my logic circuits are shrieking in pain!

if an evil exists, the finding of a worse one does not lower the intrinsic unacceptability of the first one! the judge won't excuse your drunk driving because your next door neighbor has been convicted of drunk driving, wife beating, and murder. every piece of art has to be evaluated on its own merits, and not be accepted or rejected by merit comparison to what i can find down at the 711.

Dang... Ok I've been reading this thread a couple of times now and some of is quite a good debate, while some of it is hilarious.

First let me say when I saw the title, like most people probably when saw the word 'slut' human nature became curious. As was mine. What I expected to see, was not at all what I saw. I was picturing something utterly nasty and gross...like Pamela Anderson doing something disturbing.

Then I saw Anime. I'm sorry that anime girl is the furthest thing from a slut. Personally I don't neccessarily get the whole 'anime' thing, but some of it's cool looking. And that wasn't bad anime, even if that isn't my thing.

The thing that bugs me as some have mentioned with some of the provactive anime is that you can't tell if it is an adult or not. Most of them look like really young girls, and that is just is creepy. It truly is. However as far as anime goes, (minus the whole age thing I mentioned) that screenshot was pretty good anime I guess.

As far as a five year old child or of similar age 'stumbling' across that... Ummmm a child that young has NO business 'surfing' the net without a parent supervising!
A five year old belongs on disney-like web, educational sites maybe, games. I'm sorry, they don't. These days you can put a search in for let's say...'family' and you'll get results back like "Mom..and twin sisters...party hard and______" It's happened to me. Therefore it goes back to again the parent needs to take responsiblity and supervise their children on the computers. The responsibility lies in the parent not a site! A 5 year old wants a new wall, great, sit with them, lead them to disney or whatever they like, and get'em Lil mermaid, or Toy Story, or star wars.

If that statements offends...sorry not my intent.

#173 by Psycho Janus - 5/31/2003 1:26:09 PM Personally, I don't think family sites should show anything not intended for the family. For example, anything related to the Matrix or T3 has to go, because those movies are rated R. Do we really need another Columbine, folks?

I hope, that was pure sarcasm...
